you wear glasses, you probably wish you’d listened to your mother’s advice about not sitting too close to the TV or watching for too long. But the truth is, even if you had maintained that ‘safe distance’, you’d still be wearing glasses.
While watching TV from very close or for very long without a break can cause eye strain and headaches, conditions such as near- and far-sightedness are genetic and not influenced by poor TV viewing habits.
