The latest phones from HTC, Dell and others are blurring the line between mobile phones and tablets. We take a first look at some recent launches and upcoming models
The Dell Streak is a 5-inch tablet that runs on the Android operating system and blurs the boundaries between touchscreen smartphones and tablet PCs. It’s only 10mm thick, and comfortable to hold either in one hand for use in portrait mode, or with two hands in landscape orientation.
The phone has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 400MB of RAM, and comes with a 16GB microSD card. Controls are minimal, with three touch-sensitive buttons next to the screen – Back, Menu and Home – and four physical buttons for power, volume control, and camera shutter release.
