R apid advancements in technology ensure that smartphones don’t stay smart for too long. Apple has released a new version of the iPhone (with several upgrades) every year since its launch in 2007 and Nokia, in four years, has released 30 models as part of its NSeries, the latest being the N97 Mini. While expensive phones haven’t been popular in the Indian market, with the introduction of 3G, the smartphone’s usefulness, and demand, is likely to rise.
