Follow these tips to make sure your child stays safe online

1. Set ground rules

Explain to your child clearly that he/she is not to communicate with strangers online without informing you first, and never agree to meet them in person. Also explain why he/she should not share personal information such as his/her name, address, phone number or email address with strangers, or when signing up for online contests or clubs, unless he/she has your permission.
