3D-enabled, energy-efficient, PlayStation-certified – these are a few features available from recently-launched smartphones

The Samsung Galaxy S II is arguably the most promising phone launch of 2011. It is packed with features and claims the crown of the ‘world’s thinnest smartphone’. Despite its super-thin 8.49mm profile, Samsung has managed to cram a dual-core processor into the S II, in addition to a front-facing camera and an 8Mp camera on the back, which can also record 1080p HD video.
The 4.27-inch (480 x 800) touch-sensitive large screen is based on Samsung’s new Super AMOLED Plus technology, and upgraded from the Galaxy S’s Super AMOLED display. The size of the touchscreen helps with navigation, especially the pinch-to-zoom feature, and because it supports Flash you can view videos on web pages and won’t miss out on sites that use Flash for navigation.
