Don’t be tempted by policies that promise ‘returns’; term insurance is the cheapest – and best – type you can buy

Life insurance, in its purest form, is one of the most straightforward financial instruments you can buy. However, the insurance market is dominated by hybrid products that claim to not only cover your risk, but also give you returns on your premiums.
