Toast of the town
A crisp, golden-brown slice of bread is just what you need to start your day. Find out which of the 10 toasters we tested were Right ChoicesFor many of us, toast is a simple, quick and tasty breakfast option. For the perfect slice of toast, you should let the
bread stand after it is toasted, letting the steam disperse for a few seconds. This allows it to crisp before you butter it. But most importantly, you need a good toaster.
The ideal toaster should produce toast that is evenly browned on both sides. In our tests,we found that slower toasters often do a better job of toasting bread evenly. Luckily, our Right Choices manage to combine speed and browning pretty effectively. All the models we tested, except for the Philips HD 4616/22/B and the Morphy Richards TP.08, browned more than 70% of the bread. But some models, such as the top-scorer Philips HD 2566, did more – it was speedy, easy to clean and suitable for many breads.TO READ FURTHER... Please Login, Register or Subscribe
