Buying a car is an expensive business, whether you’re buying it new or used. New cars may end up being much more expensive over the tenure of ownership than a used car, but the benefits that come with it, such as reduced maintenance bills and access to up-to-date models, are a draw for many people. However, buying a used car can often work out more cost-effective – if you take the time to choose the right model and age, and ensure that the vehicle you buy has been well cared for.
